Primary Art CPD - teaching of drawing Session 2
This event will take place between 3:45pm and 5:00pm on 02/02/2021
This series of short, virtual sessions will work across the basics and the building blocks, combining the elements together, making learners more aware of the potential of the marks that they can make and then the combination of complex techniques to provide satisfaction in the outcomes for pupils. This 3 part course is designed for teachers and teaching assistants to facilitate improvements in their delivery of the subject. Its aims are:
To improve knowledge of different mark making and drawing techniques from YR to Y6;
To developing mark making skills focused on
the drawing material: the pen, the pencil, the charcoal.
the physical activities and manipulation of materials to achieve given outcomes
the energy, spirit and intention which we direct onto a surface
To identify progression when planning for children to move to the next stage.
